Date : 26th July, 2015
Start : Biskynala (0830 Hrs)
Start : Biskynala (0830 Hrs)
End : Tso Kar Lake (1830 Hrs)
Distance: 93 Kms
Terrain: Initially it was full of off road with lot of sludge, but later it was a plain on the high altitude
Though we didn't start together in morning, end of the day we are now again with Bram and Jinji, we are camping here at Tso Kar. TsoKar lake was suppose to be a very beautiful lake, but there is no scene of a lake as most of the water is dried :(. We are bit disappointed, specially when we took more than 5 KM off road from Morey Plains to reach here. It's a big place for camping [official place as you can't camp every where at TsoKar] and along with us few more groups are camping. Today we are feeling quite relaxed as we got a chance to take bath with hot water; again thanks to Vijesh for the arrangements, indeed the right one this time. The food over here was also good and now some nice traditional folk event is going on out side, but we three have burned up our energy. So decided to sleep.
Today morning we started from Whiskynala at around 8.30 in the morning. It's was a climb and more over the roads were not good. By the time we reached Lachungla Peak, we were almost out of energy. We spent some time at Lachungla to restore our energy and stamina. The chocolates, we carried helped us very much to do so. Even if we were very tired, the downhill ahead was just tempting us to start. Out of our enthusiasm, we started again towards Pang and I just can't explain the fun. It was a awesome off road with water and sludge. It had got all those parameters that a off road bike rider would look for and our 120 mm shocks were in complete action; I would say for the first time since I got this bike. It was worth buying Ghost Kato3.
With all those fun filled ride,we finally reached Pang and got our bum settled inside a Tibetan Hotel. The mouth watering Thupka made our hunger go double, which was very delicious. Right after the lunch, we tried calling our friends from the Pang Army Camp satellite phone, but unfortunately the phones were out of order. We climbed again and reached to the peak from where Morey Plains started. Roads became so good and wide, this is where the actual highway can be felt. Hope it was all because there are no politicians here. It was a straight long never ending road till we took a deviation to reach Tso Kar. Even though the road was quite boring, the landscapes around were the boosters. Some time the wild horse running along with us made us feel like heavenly. I can not believe such a huge plane area over Himalayan ranges and again in that altitude.
